WHAT IS SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPY?
Sports massage is designed to prevent and treat injuries in the muscle by using a range of techniques including warming the muscle, manipulating the soft tissue and breaking down tensions. Sports massage can be extremely helpful where there is loss of movement and mobility, pain or discomfort. Generally speaking, sports massage is administered to localised areas.
This massage is good for people with many types of injuries, chronic pain or restricted range of motion and does not need to be sports related. It can also help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well during training.

HOW CAN SPORTS MASSAGE HELP?
During Charlie's years of sport- with injury being an occupational hazard, she experienced injury and rehabilitation, plus the difficulties of physiology and psychology which accompany this during the return to exercise and sport, she therefore has a clear understanding of empathy with anyone finding themselves in this position. Through Sport and Remedial Massage Charlie aims to provide an optimal level of treatment for clients aiming to improve, or assist the recovery of not only sporting injuries, on the path to returning to fitness and sporting activity, but also general aches and pains.
