ABOUT AMANDA
Amanda qualified in 1987 from Cardiff School of Chiropody after 3 years of training. Initially she worked for the NHS in Bristol for 6 years, where she specialised in children's foot health as well as running community clinics. After having her first child she worked for the NHS in Weston. There she worked in both community clinics and in the hospital, covering a wide range of foot problems from nail care to high risk diabetic foot problems.
In 2000 she started working in a private practice part-time. She left the NHS in 2005 to work solely in the private sector, which she really enjoys.
Anyone who uses the title Podiatrist, must register with a Health Professions Council (HPC). Registration is usually granted to those holding a specialised Bachelor's degree or Diploma in podiatry.
